On the reverse is the famous maple leaf design of Walter Ott. The design is simple in concept, consisting only of a single sugar maple leaf, the national symbol of Canada. Every element of the design, though, brings the leaf to life. The name of the issuing country, “CANADA, ” arches over it, while the coin’s purity, “9999, ” is noted to the left and right. An inscription along the bottom half of the rim offers the coin’s weight in Canada’s two national languages, English and French, reading, FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR. Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) certified that this coin is in Mint State 70 condition. That means that it appears flawless as seen under 5x magnification.
