She modeled this crown after her grandmother Princess Augusta of Hesse’s tiara, which is the original Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara. Eventually, the commissioned piece was passed down to Queen Elizabeth II, who gifted it to her daughter-in-law Princess Diana.
